Welcome to the Indy HELP web page. This site was created to provide individuals in the Indianapolis area with information, help, and support.
Herpes affects your life both physically and emotionally. You don't have to face it alone. Visit Indy HELP - a support group for people like you - people who have herpes and can help you learn to live a happy and fulfilling life. Your life can improve after herpes!
The herpes virus is far more common than most people realize. Researchers estimate that some 30 million American adults have genital herpes infections, and as many as 100 million have oral herpes - that commonly cause "cold sores" on the lips or face. The epidemic rise of herpes simplex in the past decade has attracted the attention of the press from time to time. The stories have sometimes spread more fear than information and created more questions than answers.
For many, diagnosis with herpes can mean a time of confusion, anger, fear, and frustration. HELP IS AVAILABLE.
The Herpes Resource Center (HRC), a program of the American Social Health Association, sponsors nearly 100 local support groups in the United States and Canada.(see Links section)

**Parking Lot Note ~ If there is an event at the Murat Center (across the street), there may be a parking lot attendant. Simply tell them you are going to a meeting in the English Foundation Building. Parking for all IndyHELP meetings is always free.
If you haven't visited us for a while, all meetings are now held in Room 8 of the English Foundation Building. Also, meeting times have been adjusted to 7:00pm to 8:30pm (instead of 9:00pm).
